For folks looking for mentoring rooted in deep listening, wise methods, and nuanced encouragement.

This mentoring circle is not a therapy group.

This is a cauldron for evoking dynamic, embodied, generative presence and a clear, supple flow of aliveness and applied creativity.

This is a cauldron to deepen your own sense of belonging, embodiment, and at-home-ness in yourself. This is a ripening workshop, to tend your creative wellspring and conjure creative applications of aliveness in your day to day life.

The mentoring circle is an experience in a collective of folks meeting regularly. We will be together through creative and somatic methods, practicing an ethos of playful curiosity and serious inclusion. We will surface and explore growing edges and welcome wilder, wiser, more subtle and responsive textures of clarity, creativity, humility, and courage.

The curriculum will be exploratory, informed by the needs and desires of those who gather together to unfold what wants to be and emerge. This cauldron will encourage and challenge you to unfold the way you long to unfold… how is that? fuller? deeper? braver? softer? sturdier? warmer? with more steadfastness to your own heart? with a clearer voice? This is a cauldron to cook the edges in you that want to ripen.

You do not need to know why you are drawn to this flow, though you might already have a sense of what calls you here. Together we will clarify and deepen and find the thresholds that want to be opened and crossed.

Methods:

  • moving and being still, in sounds and silence, dynamics and gestures, gross motor movement and nuanced micromovements

  • spaciousness and focus in togetherness and solitudes

  • creative writing, weaving words and speaking truths into the circle

  • games, play, repetition and echoing, expanding our range

“WE – ALL OF US ON TERRA – LIVE IN DISTURBING TIMES, MIXED-UP TIMES, TROUBLING AND TURBID TIMES. THE TASK IS TO BECOME CAPABLE, WITH EACH OTHER, OF RESPONSE.

The task is to make kin in lines of inventive connection…to stir up potent response to devastating events…

In urgent times, many of us are tempted to address trouble in terms of making an imagined future safe, of stopping something from happening that looms in the future…

Staying with the trouble does not require such a relationship to times called the future. In fact, staying with the trouble requires learning to be truly present…as moral critters entwined in myriad unfinished configurations of places, times, matters, meanings…

Staying with the trouble requires making oddkin; that is, we require each other in unexpected collaborations and combinations…

We become – with each other or not at all”
